  1. As I sit here and watch and listen to this, my chest is getting tighter and tears begin to flow down my cheeks. This one hits HARD. Thank you HARDY for not being afraid to step out of the box once again with this masterpiece.

  2. Brantley Gilbert wrote a good one about himself thrashing a dishonorable man like this in front of the law, but Hardy has done showed what any honorable southerner would do to protect the people around his hometown. Maybe the southerner would do time, but some people who survived and are trying to survive prison would understand this a little more. If a man from the 1800s did something like this, they'd be lucky to be ended by lead, otherwise, a Bowie wound or a lynching would've made em suffer. The pain probably would start hurting until they felt nothing and just fade away.

  3. From the song “rednecker”, to the song “boots”. This song hits different. Been a fan for a very long time now. I am also a survivor of domestic violence. My past childhood wasent the best but now listening to music has really helped. Thank you hardy for delivering this masterpiece!

  4. What a stupid fucking song.
Glorifying murder because some girl came to you saying she got beat up?
Zero context, zero right, just some girl you picked up and said "Hey my boyfriend beat me up, go kill him"
You kicked THIS dudes door in. You had one side of the story. Just a dumb fucking song to be honest.
Its simping and psychopathy all wrapped in one package lmao.

  5. I respect to everyone who were involved in this, Seriously the best piece that I' ve ever seen on YouTube, HATS OFF TO WELL ALL ! LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!! 😍😍….

  6. Well, crying listening to this. One of the deepest songs I've heard in a long time. I was never a victim of domestic violence, but I was raped and my husband found me. He has a scar on his hand from trying to get to him. He would have killed him if I hadn't stopped him. There are very few men who would do whatever it takes to protect someone who has been through hell. My husband and I have a stronger relationship from what happened. There is always something good that can come from something heartbreaking.

  7. Can't wait to watch these two amazing artists earn some major awards and accolades on this collab. Hardy and Lainey tour for 2023 please and thank you.

  8. I can’t tell you enough how good this duet is!
The concept of the song and video are amazing!
Hardy’s music speaks to people because he doesn’t bullshit it! His story is true in his words
    Wow! Another amazingly written song

  9. Hands down, this is my new favorite song from any artist. Hardy is an amazing song writer. He pushes through the “normal” and gets to what people really want to hear. This is a tough subject and it needs to be talked about! Thank you Hardy for helping to heal people with your songs!

  10. Thank you Hardy. As a domestic violence survivor you never forget the trauma you go through. This song brought tears to my eyes this morning. Don't just listen to the lyrics listen to the message in the song.

  11. I live with permanent brain damage. I can hardly do anything. All because I was beaten by a guy. This is a very serious subject you're addressing. Thank you Mike

  12. Omg HARDY never disappoints me I am a survivor of domestic violence and I met a good man that finally after all these years and he would DO TH SAME THING FOR ME!!! I literally just cried 😭 thanks HARDY FOR the wonderful song

  13. I never thought I’d come across a song that made me feel validated AND safe. That’s exactly what this song did. Aside from the fact that both HARDY & Lainey are incredibly talented. This will help so many survivors inexplicable ways.

  14. I could tell ya little story about a girl once running down the side of an interstate highway and the words from my angel were – “ Get in the truck “ this one hits home . ❤️❤️❤️

  15. I would hope that anyone in that situation would find the strength to stand up for themselves and not let some stranger walk in to that situation and take a hit like that.

  16. Wait what? Wonderful message? Go and execute / premeditated murder a stranger for some rando girl you meet on the road? What the hell holy simp lmao
Great reason to throw your life away lol

  17. WOW!
These two have brought justice to an issue I never thought could be a hit!
I’m also a survivor of drastic mental abuse by a sex addict!
It’s hard to explain, but it was bad!
He ended up in jail too!
    I was lucky I guess!
If I had to say something to all of you out there it would be this!
    You can get out!
You can live a different life! There are better things out there!
You DO DESERVE MORE!!! I pray for you, and love you!!!

  18. I just lost my oldest daughter about 10 hours ago. She was a big HARDY fan. I also know she had been in a couple of relationships in the past where she was a victim of domestic violence. She would have loved this. Rest in peace michelle. Mama loves you.

  19. This dude is a Southern Treasure…My 9y/o daughter is a HUGE Hardy fan. She woke up at 3am this morning so she could listen to this song “100 times” before school (bc Hardy said she should) 😂

  20. I too am like @Janice Backer am a fan of Hardy but this one it home 💯. I just came out of 18yrs of mental/physical abuse. I always told him all the physical will heal its the mental that stays forever. Thank you for this one Hardy.

  21. If you can watch this and not have chills you aren’t human. The acting in this video is awesome. I listened to Hardy’s interview on the highway this morning, and he is so humble and down to earth. Plus Lainey Wilson is awesome in her on right!♥️

  22. I think Hardy has more balls for releasing this song than the entire Uvalde police department. We need more men willing to say “wait in the truck” and less saying “wait for backup”.

  23. In a world where defending yourself, your family or your lady is being perceived as bad… this song drives the point home that real men will do anything it takes to protect those they love. Wow, HARDY, thank you for this one.

  24. Lainey's 'thank you' at the end of the third verse hits so damn hard. It's like she's not only thanking him for rescuing her; she's thanking him for restoring her faith in both herself and in people. Even as she loads up in his truck, you can see her struggling with her own self-doubts. But as she raises her eyes and sees the Cross, she puts it in drive and rolls on. That's the most tragic thing about those in the throes of domestic abuse. Regardless of how it ends, the victims are left with no other choice but to pray, lean on Calvary for strength and move on as best they can. Thank you, Hardy. Be blessed friend.

  25. This shows what a true artist Hardy is. Been a fan since before he dropped his first song. I showed everyone I knew the songs he was writing and told them he was gonna blow up, and by God he has!! The writing, the production, the visual of the video, is all amazing! This guy has barely even shown us the surface of his potential.

  26. There's justice, and then there's street justice. Some people don't realize how close they may have come to street justice. If you're the type that would raise a hand to a women, think about that.

  27. I have witnessed domestic violence and swore I’d never let it happen again on my watch. (My mother, by my father).. so this song just hits my heart differently 🥺❤️ I love it so much. Shoutout to the people out there who stand for people who can’t any longer!

  28. Love hardy but this song although justified is simping strong I hope men don't really believe they should throw their life away for a woman they don't even know.

  29. Hardy is my fav artist and this song hits home I finally got out of a domestic relationship felt like everyday I was getting hit and I always prayed for someone to come help me or save me so this song hits home really good well done 😊

  30. GD GENIUS … 🐐 MISSISSIPPI’S FINEST IS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST DAMN SONGWRITER TO COME ALONG IN DECADES NOT TO MENTIONED HIS VOCAL TALENT ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ 🔥🔥🔥🔥🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🥰🥰🥰🥰

  31. Hardy is the fucking man. And the cool thing is I believe he would actually defend a random woman like that. Maybe not to that degree lol but yeah. Great stuff as usual!

  32. Powerful stuff. This reminds me of early Brantley Gilbert stuff like Saving Amy. Well done to the record company too for releasing this as a single – some might back away from this.

  33. So sad that lawn seats are like $350-$470 a ticket while he's near me.
My 10 year old and I absolutely love Hardy's music including the stuff that he just wrote but doesn't perform

  34. As a domestic violence survivor, this is so refreshing to hear and watch. Cause I can honestly tell you, between the physical and emotional abuse you feel mighty alone. So many people see the signs and do nothing. The day my ex put his hands on me is the day my dog and I had enough. Not only did my dog try to bite him, but I got a few good slugs on his face. Zero regrets. My only wish is that he falls off the face of a cliff one day so can't hurt anyone.
